AMI Network Infrastructure Installation is Big for SSS in 2021!

Second Sight Systems’ Technical Services Team has been extremely busy over the past 2 years with numerous Network Infrastructure Installation projects supporting utility wide meter upgrade systems–especially with the influx of new AMI Water Meter Projects with smaller utilities.
Many of these projects have come through our great partnership with Eaton and Ferguson Waterworks with SSS providing installation services of Eaton, Mueller, and Master Meter Network Infrastructure consisting of various Base Stations, Gateways, Repeaters, and Routers.
Typically SSS would be involved with the installation of these units onto 100ft+ Water Towers or Communication Towers, where elevations with clear line of site is most important for a properly communicating AMI system. Because this type of work requires special training along with very extensive safety programs and certifications, such as Comtrain Certification, this places Second Sight Systems in a unique position to offer these specialized services together with our other utility verticals (ie. meter and fiber installations). Additionally these components may be installed on smaller water tanks, stadium lighting, Tornado Siren Poles, or just typical utility poles.
SSS has been involved in these projects all across the US. Some of the most recent projects include Colorado, Marshfield, MO, Dalworthington, TX, Swanton, OH, Fort Nutter, WV, Fairfield, OH, with upcoming projects in Nelsonville, OH, Circleville, OH, Booneville, KY and Fairbury, IL. We are happy to support the meter vendors with a professionalism and great quality service to their utility customers.
